Hay Mergers

Hay mergers pick up windrows of cut grass and hay and combine them to be picked up and baled. For example, a pull-type model that can pick up two windrows at a time and merge them off to one side can turn five swaths into one big central windrow in two passes. Variations on the name or function of hay mergers include hay inverters, hay turners, hay windrow mergers, and continuous pickup hay mergers.

Hay merger mechanisms may be run by hydraulics, a tractor’s power take-off (PTO), or be wheel-driven or ground-driven. H&S mergers with a Hydra Swing tongue can convert from a center-pull model to a side-pull and vice-versa, while Twin-Flex and Tri-Flex models have two or three heads, respectively. Some mergers support extensions to add pickup width for efficiency’s sake. Hay merger wear parts include their belts, tires, and pickup teeth.

Hay Storage
