Great Plains Manufacturing has built its reputation offering high-quality, highly effective tillage, seeding, and planting equipment for sale since founder Roy Applequist built the company’s first 30-foot folding press drill in 1976. The manufacturer spent 10 years adding to its drill lineup before branching out in 1986, building its Land Pride brand of grooming mowers, rotary tillers, rotary cutters, landscape seeding, and dirt-working equipment for sale. In 2000, Great Plains entered the tillage market through its purchase of Kent Manufacturing, and in 2010 purchased Simba International, a U.K.-based manufacturer of cultivation equipment.

Great Plains and Land Pride are today a Kubota company, with headquarters in Salina, Kansas, and manufacturing facilities in central Kansas and Sleaford, England. The Great Plains name also encompasses a financing division, Great Plains Acceptance Corp., and Great Plains Trucking, which delivers products to dealers and brings raw materials back to Great Plains manufacturing facilities.

Great Plains equipment for sale includes vertical tillage, field cultivators, disks, plows, harrows, and seedbed conditioners. It also offers planting equipment such as drills, air drills, compact drills, and planters; chemical applicators, including liquid and anhydrous fertilizer applicators and three-point and pull-type sprayers for sale; and offset, folding, and rigid rotary cutters. In addition, Great Plains sells center pivot, precision fertilizer, and sub-soiler hitches and a line of planting components such as coulters and row cleaners.
