Unverferth History

Founded in 1948 by father-son duo L.G. and Richard Unverferth, who often looked for ways to make their farm and their neighbors’ farming operations more efficient. Ten years before their official founding, the duo created their first innovation, a mechanized beet blocker.

The Ohio-based operation continued to grow in the post-war era. The Unverferth duo began producing tractor step plates, control levers, and dual tractor wheels. The product line expanded in the 1970s and 1980s to include the McCurdy gravity boxes, Culti-Planter field cultivator, Rolling Harrow soil conditioner, and Unverferth and Brent grain carts. These products, built with Unverferth wheels, provided a foundation for growth that continues today.

Unverferth’s lineup of front-fold, side-fold, and single- and dual-auger grain carts help keep harvests efficient and can meet any operation’s needs. Models like the Unverferth X-Treme grain cart feature designs to increase operator comfort and unloading accuracy.

Unverferth offers a range of seedbed and strip-tillers and primary tillage equipment. For even preparation, the Perfecta field cultivator can level, till, and condition in a single pass. The Ripper-Stripper and Ripper-Bedder inline models alleviate compaction while preparing the seedbed.

The Unverferth Raptor strip tillage tool provides less surface soil disturbance and reduces erosion. The company’s lineup of primary tillage equipment also includes ripper rollers, disks, and cultivators.
