That New Holland is one of the world’s most popular tractor brands isn’t surprising considering the company has been making farm equipment since 1895, when Abe Zimmerman founded the company in New Holland, Pennsylvania. It’s even more understandable knowing that its history includes such iconic names as Ford, which produced the first mass-produced tractor in 1917, and Fiat, which introduced its first tractor in 1918. It was Fiat that merged New Holland with Case Corporation in 1999 to form CNH Global.
