    About New Holland Combines

During New Holland’s 125-plus years of manufacturing farm equipment, the company has developed some of the industry’s most impactful technologies. One example is the Twin Rotor combine concept New Holland introduced in 1975 on the TR70, which combined faster grain harvesting and gentler handling. New Holland’s CR Revelation series continues to use the threshing and separation system to this day. The company also manufactures CX8-series conventional combines, and claims that one of every four combines sold around the world is a New Holland. These machines are available with an array of headers including SuperFlex and Varifeed direct-cut auger, SuperFlex and rigid draper, pick-up, and folding and rigid corn headers.

    New Holland CR9.90 Revelation Combine

    CR Revelation Combines

The CR Revelation series includes the 544-horsepwer (400-kilowatt) CR9.90, a favorite on TractorHouse.com, and the CR10.90, a 639-HP (470-kW) beast touted for its record-breaking in-field performance that uses a self-leveling Opti-Clean cleaning system. All Revelation combines come with either the 17- or 22-inch (43- or 56-centimeter) Twin Rotor system, which New Holland says produce 36% to 40% greater centrifugal force over other rotary designs, resulting in quicker grain movement for faster separation and maximum throughput. The machines can also be spec’d with the SmartTrax track system, which the manufacturer says reduces ground pressure by 57%, and the Opti-Spread Plus solution that spreads residue up to 45 feet (13.7 meters).

    CX8 Combines

The CX8 series of super conventional combines use New Holland’s four-drum threshing system. The series includes the popular CX8.80 (401 HP; 295 kW of maximum engine power), and CX8.90 (490 HP; 360.4 kW), which New Holland says is the world’s most powerful conventional combine. Both use Opti-Speed straw walkers with automatic speed settings for wheat, corn, canola, and rice that are further adjusted for harvest conditions. An available Opti-Spread straw-management system features Dual-Chop technology that passes residue through a dedicated rake for more finely chopped material.

    Features & Technologies

New Holland combines come with myriad standard and optional features designed to enhance operator comfort and machine efficiency and productivity. New Holland touts the Harvest Suite Ultra cab as the market’s quietest at 73 dB; the CommandGrip multi-function handle gives operators easy control of important machine and header functions. Operators can monitor the combine’s vital functions and check view feeds from up to six cameras on a 10.4-inch IntelliView IV display. The manufacturer also offers a long-distance LED lighting package that New Holland says can illuminate up to a quarter-mile during low-light operation.

The combines can also be outfitted with New Holland’s Precision Land Management (PLM) solutions such as the automated IntelliSense system, which dial in the optimal harvest settings every 20 seconds, choosing from among 280 million possibilities. New Holland claims the technology results in up to 20% greater daily productivity. Other technologies include IntelliSteer automatic guidance, real-time moisture sensing, and PLM Connect, which lets farmers remotely connect to the combine and send and receive data from it. The optional PLM Connect Professional package gives farmers complete remote monitoring and machine control.
