Read More (M&W)M&W Gear Co. was incorporated in 1950 in Gibson City, Illinois. Beginning in 1948, the two founders, Elmo Meiners and Arthur Warsaw, built transmission kits with more gear options to increase a tractor’s versatility. M&W Gear Co. would go on to design haymaking equipment and other products. The Alamo Group acquired the M&W Gear in 1995 and continued to develop equipment to maintain farmland, including tillage products.
You’ll find used M&W equipment for sale on TractorHouse.com, including harvest equipment such as grain carts and gravity wagons; tillage equipment such as rippers and rotary tillage; and hay and forage equipment such as rotary mowers and rakes and tedders. The M&W 2200, a disk ripper with many shanks, is one of the most common models. Under Alamo Group, M&W products transitioned to the EarthMaster brand, so you’ll sometimes see the EarthMaster and M&W names used interchangeably.
