    Ag Spray Equipment History

Ag Spray Equipment was founded in 1966 under a different name and grew by leaps and bounds over the years by expanding its product line, as well as through a series of acquisitions beginning with Schaben Industries in 1986. Company locations soon included stores and facilities in Columbus, Nebraska; Newton, Kansas; Bakersfield, California; and Tempe, Arizona.

The company acquired Ag Spray in 2008, which included locations in Hopkinsville, Kentucky; Greenwood, Mississippi; and Dothan, Alabama. It then acquired A & L Supply in Othello, Washington, in 2013; Horvick of Fargo, North Dakota, in 2014; and Mankato Spray Center in Mankato, Minnesota, in 2014. That year, the company adopted the Ag Spray Equipment brand for all of its many businesses and locations.

    Sprayers

Ag Spray’s sprayers largely fall into two main subcategories: pull-type, which are towed behind a tractor, and 3pt/mounted. Pull-type sprayers are most often used in settings like pastures, grain fields, orchards, vineyards, and residential areas. The company’s 3pt/mounted units attach to a tractor’s 3-point linkage and are frequently used on golf courses and athletic fields, as well as in pastures, fields, and acre-plus lawns.

One popular example is Ag Spray’s MC60, a 3-point/mounted sprayer with a 60-gallon tank and a six-roller power take-off (PTO)-driven pump. Its spring-loaded foldable booms extend to 140 inches, or just under 12 feet (3.5 meters) wide, with seven nozzles spaced at 20 in. (50.8 centimeters) apart. The sprayer can easily be controlled from the tractor seat, and a stowable spray gun with 25 ft (7.62 m) of hose is present for spot spraying, as well.

    Tenders

Ag Spray tenders are specialized pieces of ag equipment used to transport and transfer liquids like water, fertilizer, or pesticides to agricultural sprayers in the field. With models like the Ag Spray 1010, this 1010-gallon nurse trailer is easily pulled behind vehicles with bumper pull hitches, making it ideal for storing, hauling, and transporting large amounts of liquids.

The 1010’s iron frame is ready for years of service in any environment, and it also comes with a pump and engine to provide quick filling, fast transfer, and controlled discharge of liquids. For jobs big and small, liquid nurse trailers are a practical and economical way to safely transport water, liquid fertilizer, herbicides, insecticides, and other liquid products.
