    About Rome

More than 85 years after its founding, Rome Plow Company is among the only manufacturers of tillage equipment produced entirely in the United States. Rome Plow farm equipment includes both three-point and pull-type hitch subsoilers and rippers, as well as a variety of tillage equipment in fixed overhead, folding wing, hinge wheel offset, hinge offset, and tandem disc harrow models.

Rome Plow opened its doors for business in 1932 when Tom Mullen and Jack Lemann saw a need for high-quality, rugged tillage implements for use with Caterpillar tractors. Mullen and Lemann purchased Rome, Georgia,-based Towers and Sullivan Plow Co., moving the manufacturer’s headquarters to Cedartown, Georgia, in 1934. Today, Rome has products in more than 120 countries and is owned by Danny and Brenda Dumey, who purchased the company in 2010. In addition to tillage, subsoilers, and rippers, Rome Plow offers several lines of earthmoving and land-leveling scrapers and other specialty equipment.

You’ll find a number of new and used Rome disks, rippers, and other tillage equipment for sale on TractorHouse.com.
