Husqvarna’s history traces all the way back to 1689 with the creation of its first plant as a weapons foundry. Over the years, the company has manufactured rifles, shotguns, bicycles, motorcycles, sewing machines, and kitchen equipment. After expanding into lawn mower production in 1918, Husqvarna tested its first engine-powered model in 1947 and released the world’s first solar-powered, robotic lawn mower in 1995. Although Electrolux acquired Husqvarna in 1978, it spun the company off in 2006.
