Harvest International is a family-owned manufacturer of planting equipment based in Storm Lake, Iowa. The company’s products include lines of toolbar and row unit planters. Prior to May 2017, the company also manufactured grain augers and conveyors but sold those product lines to Meridian Manufacturing, which was founded in 1963 by the Friesen family and that offers those products under the Harvest by Meridian brand. Also based in Storm Lake, Meridian manufactures vertical and horizontal fuel tanks, hopper and flat-bottom bins, tender parts, belt conveyors, and bulk-storage equipment.

Jeff Sivinski and Byron Friesen founded Harvest International in 2007, and built a new manufacturing facility in Storm Lake. Previously, Garry Friesen, who joined Harvest International in 2009, had launched Friesen of Iowa in 1988, a company that Byron Friesen would later join. In 2004, Friesen sold Friesen of Iowa, which produced storage bins and the Friesen Bulk Seed Tender.

Harvest International’s products include the UltraPlant Front Fold Toolbar, a front-fold, narrow transport planter available in 30- to 66-foot models spanning eight to 48 rows. The company also makes the PowerPlant Rigid Toolbar for precision planting applications that’s available in 10- to 20-foot-wide models spanning four to 24 rows, the high-speed UltraLift Stack Fold Toolbar planter in 30- to 40-foot models covering 12 to 31 rows, and the UltraMax Striptill Toolbar narrow-transport bar available in 30- to 60-foot models. Elsewhere, the company bills its LaserPro1 Row Unit as “the premier precision planting ready row unit.” Constructed of laser-cut, high-tensile steel, the LaserPro1 is available in conventional-width and extra-narrow models.

You’ll find a large selection of new and used Harvest International equipment for sale on TractorHouse.com, including grain augers/conveyors and planters.
