H&S Manufacturing Co. Inc. was founded in 1967 by Lauri Heikenen as a manufacturer of agricultural and commercial equipment. H&S had relatively humble beginnings, as its original headquarters was a roughly 5,000 square foot block building facility in Marshfield, Wisconsin. It didn’t take long for H&S to expand, and today the company maintains a 220,000 square foot manufacturing plant.

Over the course of its history, H&S has grown from making forage boxes for dairy farms to covering a wide range of products for work in the fields.

While H&S certainly still makes forage boxes, keeping those ties to its roots, the company now also sells chassis and running gear, mergers, forage blowers, tedders, hay machines, rakes, manure spreaders, bale wrappers, bale transports, grinder mixers, and feeder wagons. The H&S Hay Machine II, in particular, is interesting because it is specifically designed to reduce the drying time of hay, minimize handling, and increase the overall value of the crop. This same idea is applied to all of the company’s products in an effort to make life easier for the people who use its products.
