Cub Cadet was founded in 1961, but it was originally established a year prior and manufactured under International Harvester. The brand was then sold to MTD in 1981 and has remained under the banner ever since. One of the Cub Cadet’s proudest accomplishment is that it has been American made since its inception and has its headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio, along with maintaining other facilities in Kentucky, Tennessee, and Mississippi.

Cub Cadet offers a wide range of power equipment that does everything from cut grass to blow snow or just get you from point A to point B. This includes the Enduro XT line of riding lawn tractors, a series of zero-turn riding lawn mowers, walk-behind lawn mowers, snow throwers, utility vehicles, and even golf course-related vehicles and equipment as well as handheld equipment for garden tilling, leaf blowing, trimming, pressure washing, edging, trenching, and more. The RG3 automated mower is particularly interesting because it’s specifically designed for golf course maintenance and to navigate across different grass types, slopes, and other obstacles with minimal human interaction.

A joint venture between Cub Cadet and Yanmar resulted in the Cub Cadet Yanmar line of compact utility tractors and implements in the late 2000s.
