Kverneland is a European-based company with a history that dates back to 1879 when Ole Gabriel Kverneland built a forge to manufacture scythes. Kverneland remained a family-owned business until 1983 when the company was listed on the stock exchange. Now called the Kverneland Group, the company has factories in Norway, Denmark, Germany, France, The Netherlands, Italy, Russia, and China. Kverneland products are for sale in 17 countries and exported to another 60.

The Kverneland Group experienced rapid growth in the 1990s when it acquired several companies that helped grow the company outside Norway. In 1998, for example, Kverneland acquired the well-known brands Vicon (Greenland Group) and RAU, which strengthened Kverneland’s grassland machinery, sprayer, and cultivator lines. The Kverneland Group was acquired by Kubota Corp. in 2012 and continues to manufacture soil preparation, seeding, and forage and baling equipment, as well as tools for spreading and spraying.

Kverneland equipment for sale on TractorHouse.com includes air seeders and air carts, disks, plows, rotary tillage, mower conditioners and windrowers, tub grinders and bale processors, and other hay and forage equipment.
