The 2023 XCMG XE360U is a heavy-duty hydraulic crawler excavator designed for demanding earthmoving, mass excavation, quarry, utility, road construction, pipeline, and commercial site development projects. Built in the 36-40 metric ton class, the XE360U combines high breakout force, fast hydraulic response, and excellent fuel efficiency with a durable structure engineered for continuous production in challenging jobsite conditions. Powered by a Tier 4 Final Cummins L9 diesel engine producing 285 horsepower, the machine delivers the power necessary for heavy digging while maintaining low emissions and reduced operating costs. The XE360U develops approximately 55,900 lb (249 kN) of bucket digging force and 42,900 lb (173 kN) of arm digging force, giving operators exceptional breakout performance in dense soils and hard materials. The heavy-duty undercarriage features reinforced track frames, durable rollers, and large steel track shoes that provide outstanding stability, traction, and long service life on rough terrain. Its balanced counterweight and optimized weight distribution improve lifting capability while maintaining excellent machine stability throughout the digging range. With an operating weight of approximately 87,300 pounds (39,600 kg) and a standard bucket capacity of approximately 2.2 cubic yards (1.8 m³), the XE360U is well suited for high-production excavation applications. Operator comfort is a major focus of the XE360U. The spacious ROPS-certified cab features excellent all-around visibility, ergonomic joystick controls, a fully adjustable suspension seat, automatic climate control with powerful heating and air conditioning, reduced interior noise levels, and a multifunction LCD monitor that displays machine diagnostics, maintenance information, fuel consumption, and operating parameters.
