BaleStrip, UM-7850 Easy removal of plastic and netting – can also be used as a regular round bale grabber Silastrip has 3 standard tines. One upper and two lower. In addition, it is equipped with a hydraulic arm on top that is normally open in the upper position. This arm is activated/deactivated using hydraulics. DRIVING The movable arms are set to the inner position. Aim the upper spear as high as possible on the bale. The bale is then driven “through” the stationary knife for cutting. Drive on to where the bale is to be “bursted” and discharged. When you start to “burst” the bale, the upper arm will immediately go down towards the upper spear and clamp the plastic and net. The plastic/net is released by driving the arms to the inner position and the hydraulic top arm will then open and the plastic will fall off. COMBI SOLUTION Silastrip can also be used as a regular hydraulic round bale grab with roller tines. Conversion to a round bale grab is done in a few minutes by threading roller tines onto the 2 lower tines and securing with a screw. The horizontal knife between the tines is tilted up and locked. The upper tine is dismantled and the hydraulic top arm is tilted up to a vertical position and locked. Silastrip can then be used for regular round bale handling.
