Planting season just got easier. Earlier this year, Case IH debuted the 2150S Early Riser front-folding trailing planter to give producers an option with a high-performance split-row configuration. Now Case IH is bringing updates to other models in the series, including more liquid capacity for the 2150 Early Riser front-fold planter and the option for a dealer-installed 48th row on the 2160 Early Riser large front-fold planter. The AFS Pro 1200 display also received planter software updates.

“Introducing the 2150S Early Riser planter this year was a game-changer—but it was just the start of our renewed commitment to bolstering our entire lineup of 2000-series Early Riser planters,” says David Brennan, Case IH planter marketing manager. “These new offerings are designed for producers who are always looking for more options and greater capacity during crucial planting windows.”

    Cover More Ground

The redesigned liquid tank on the 2150 Early Riser planter has a 540-gallon capacity to allow the planter to cover up to 180 acres between product fills. The tank can easily be filled from the rear platform and has forward placement for better weight distribution, as well as a low-profile design to improve visibility. The new tank is available on the 2023 model year planter.

    Extended Reach

The 47-row 2160 Early Riser large front-fold planter can be fitted with a 48th row. To receive the upgrade, producers can take their machines to their local Case IH dealer, where the extra row can be quickly installed with a bolt-on bracket kit.

“The 2160 Early Riser planter already offers exceptional performance for large planting operations,” Brennan says. “This additional row provides even greater efficiency for growers looking to squeeze in more acres each day.”

    Updated Software

The AFS Pro 1200 display’s new software allows operators to use the same display for all tractor and planter functions with six customizable run screens to monitor planter functions and perform other tasks simultaneously on the display. High-resolution mapping can show coverage, varieties, spacing, ground contact, skips, and other information.

“Out in the field, the AFS Pro 1200 is an operator’s best friend,” says Brennan. “Keeping track of multiple inputs and factors while simultaneously monitoring your equipment is going to streamline the planting process even further, taking the load off operators during long planting days.”
