AGCO Introduces First Class 8 Large Square Baler

Originally announced at AgriTechnica 2017 in Hanover, AGCO’s new Hesston by Massey Ferguson 2370 Ultra HD Baler builds on its predecessors, the MF 2270 and MF 2270 XD models, which will still be available. But the 2370 is being billed as the industry’s first Class 8 large square baler, and it’s specifically built for commercial hay growers, such as those that sell biomass for biofuel generation or for livestock feed. This model is now available for the European market.

Bigger & Better

This new large square baler has a plunger that operates up to 50 strokes per minute and has a maximum load capacity of 760 kilonewtons, which is a 63 percent increase over that of the MF 2270 XD baler. The 2370 UHD has a heavy-duty frame for handling those loads and features the OptiFlow pickup assembly system, which sports five tine bars and 80 double tines. And for ongoing usage, Massey Ferguson has built the 2370 UHD with maintenance in mind to make sure your tractors stay out of the shop and out in the fields.

Coming To North America

AGCO plans to fully debut the Massey Ferguson 2370 UHD baler at the 2018 World Ag Expo in February. There, it will further highlight how the baler can create 3 feet (0.9 meter) by 4 feet (1.2 meter) bales at a higher density and is capable of creating more bales at a faster pace to cover as many acres as possible. All of these features put together add up to a large square baler that works more efficiently, which will lead to more profits for your business.
